Garment Adjustments
We offer the following services on selected items. If you wish to take advantage of any of these services, please call our Customer Service staff on 01473 256061 who will be happy to deal with your request, or complete the instruction panel on the garment order page.
Trousers & Jeans
We offer various trouser length options as standard. These lengths vary between manufacturers.
Each trouser style will indicate the length options that are available. Should you need an alternative length,
we can shorten a leg to your requirement. There is no charge for this service, but be careful to ensure
you send us the right measurements.

Children’s Garments
We will only alter children’s garments in store, as the variables of shape and fit should be considered after
seeing a garment on a child. We can however send special hem adhesive if a customer wishes to undertake an alteration themselves.
The tape is ironed on and only suitable for use on trousers. If you require this tape,
please email us at info@coes.co.uk at the same time as placing your order.
Sports Jackets
We can shorten jacket sleeves, but will require the customer to try the garment on prior to taking on this task.
The customer will be responsible for the return postage to us and for specifying the correct adjustment.
The alteration inclusive of return carriage costs will be £15. Allow 4 weeks for the complete process to be completed and we will do it in less if we can.
We reserve the right not to undertake an alteration. In the event of this happening, we will offer a full refund.
Full Tailoring Workshop Option
If you are in the area, or live near by, we have our own workshops and can undertake most adjustments to garments.
Our tailoring staff can make adjustments to ensure a perfect fit, but in many cases, can only achieve
this by seeing a garment on a customer. Please note we will only undertake alterations to
garments originally purchased from Coes.
